photo above: Is that a glass of wine? !!!
My sister and I love to travel. Our children are grown with families of their own and so, she and I are on the two to three year plan. That means we save our money and then go on a trip to places we never dreamed we go. This photo was taken in Rome on a trip to Italy that took us all over the country from Tuscany to Pompeii. The Italians drink wine like we do water or soft drinks. In fact, it is cheaper than anything else. I'm okay with that!
Working with administrators, teachers, and especially parents, who continually encourage me and help me bring reality to what can be imagined, I have been fortunate to receive several teaching awards. Each opened the door wider and brought more opportunities. My involvement with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is very close to my heart. In 1998, I spent six weeks in eastern Europe visiting Holocaust sites and learning the history. That experience forever changed me.
I am proud of being part of an excellent team of teachers which includes our nationally award winning principal. Our vision and commitment to creating a special place for each child to learn has resulted in our school receiving the designation of "An Arkansas School of Innovation" and being named a "National Blue Ribbon School!"
