     I had heard of the book, "A Cricket in Times Square," and knew it was really liked by readers. The book won awards and was always in publication. It is still as popular today as when it first hit book stores. I was actually anxious to read it. Why did I not read it before?!!!  I LOVED THIS BOOK.  The cricket in this book would have been in my G.T. class for sure! The boy who befriends him would have been in G.T. too. This book is about special talents, sacrifice, caring, being open to other cultures, adapting, and loss. I give this book two thumbs up!
    You will enjoy touring Times Square with the boy in the video on this page, and you will love "A Cricket in Times Square."
