Weiner Gifted and Talented students and other students at Weiner Elementary performed "Brundibar" at three public performances and three performances for area schools (March 9-14, 2017). They also performed "Brundibar!" at the state P.T.A. Convention at the Fowler Center of Arkansas State University.

ACT 1 was written by Angie Hunt & ACT 2
was adapted by Patricia Hesse from the memoirs and stories in the book, "The Girls of Room 28" by Hannelore Brenner. Act 3 is the original Brundibar opera translated from Czech into English. The first performance of Brundibar was in 1943.
