We will be presenting a series of plays based on the experiences of children who were immigrants at the turn of the 20th century -- these have been adapted from books and stories shared by immigrants so very long ago, bringing them together in a format that teaches children the history of that time and helps them develop empathy as they imagine being "the other."

The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes is the story of an immigrant girl trying to find her place in a new land. It is the story of survival, intolerance, cruelty, hope, and the realization that it isn't always possible to right a wrong. We have taken Estes timeless story and add a touch of magical realism certain to delight the audience and provide a voice for Maddie's conscience. Don't miss it.
