October 4th, 2011 we attended Arkansas State University's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" to see if it measured up to ours'. In this photograph Ms. Hesse points out the actors who were playing the parts we played.

ABOUT OUR TRIP: We learned that the drama department at A.S.U. was performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and couldn't wait to see what their production would look like. Ms. Hesse ordered the tickets and along with about 25 parents we headed to Jonesboro to "check it out!" We stopped and ate pizza at Mario's before the play and arrived early enough to look the Fowler Center over.
The set was awesome, but we liked our costumes better.. We settled back and returned to that magical place in the forest where fairies meet and strange things happen. We knew almost all the lines by heart. The time flew by for us. We especially laughed at Puck, who reminded us of our own Puck grown up. We loved how they left Demetrius asleep on stage all through the intermission.
The performance was awesome, but . . . we still liked ours' better.
